Hansekogge

The museum ship "Roland von Bremen" was built in 2000 as an exact replica of a mediaeval Hansa trading ship (cog) by the BBV Bremer Bootsbau Vegesack shipyard.  The "Roland von Bremen" is 23.98 m. long, 7.62 m. wide and has a draught of 2 m. Displacement is 200 t.
1 x 279 kW drive this ship, but she also sails, naturally.

The Hansekogge is very often underway as the floating  emblem of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.  The ship can be visited at her moorings at the Schlachte. The Hansekogge can also be chartered for special trips.
